Exploring new areas audits could create commercial value by building trust. In the modern world, trust defines company success. And audits are the tool to build and nurture that trust. The opportunities were endless! But there was one major limiting factor. The value of that trust, was offset by the negative impacts of the audits. High costs. Business disruption. Conflicts between audit requirements and other business goals. Audits had to change to realise their potential. That wouldn’t happen in Big4, so I founded AssuranceLab. It’s hard to sum up this broken industry. The impracticality. The blind leading the blind. The barriers to change. We’ve been eating that elephant one bite at a time. Now we have clients that say they love compliance, look forward to future audits, and they’re stoked to be working with us. And we’re just getting started. Our mission is to elevate audits. To change perceptions and increase engagement. For audits to become a ubiquitous tool for enterprise trust. That progressively raises the standard and improves the world around us.
