Paul Klein

Named a 2023 Top Lobbyist by the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics, Paul Klein is a government relations and public affairs expert that helps political clients and candidates navigate the intersection of press and policy.
Some of Klein's 2023 lobbying highlights include helping pass the most comprehensive insurance reforms in the country, achieve a record-high pay increase for state police officers, pass Nevada’s Down Syndrome Information Act, and allocate millions in transportation funds for public charter schools. As a campaign consultant, Klein has helped elect many candidates to local, state and congressional office.
Prior to joining TriStrat and Voices & Votes, Klein was the global creative director for international advertising agency White Rabbit, communications and public information officer for the City of Reno government, and creative director of Klein Advertising.
Klein studied law and criminal justice as an undergraduate at the University of Nevada and went on to earn an Masters in Business Administration. Klein served as a City of Reno Commissioner from 2007 to 2011 and chaired the 2017 Heart Gala for the American Heart Association. Since 2005, Klein has served as a board member for the American Advertising Federation and holds that organization's Ethics in Advertising Certification. Klein is also a board member of the Reno Aquatic Club and volunteers for the Red Cross.
Klein's advertising and political campaigns have won dozens of Addys, Savvys, Aces, Marcoms, Hermes, and an Emmy Award. He was honored in 2010 as a Twenty Under 40 Award recipient and University of Nevada Young Alumnus of the Year.
Klein is also an adjunct professor at the University of Nevada. In 2023, he was awarded the 'Exceptional Letter of Appointment Award" for outstanding instruction.
