My happy place

Even though I've moved away from it my happy place still remains the Esquimalt Lagoon! I feel like most people who grew up on the Westshore would say this place holds a special place in their hearts. It was always the spot to meet up with friends or the spot to go if you needed half an hour to collect your thoughts. Times may change but the "goon" stays constant :)

I can play the alto saxophone but physically can't play the clarinet :(
I tried learning clarinet in grade 10 because the concert band needed more clarinet players, and there were already too many alto sax players. It was soon discovered that the combination of my naturally crooked fingers and my fingertips having essentially no fat in them made it next to impossible for me to cover the tone holes properly. My band director politely told me that some of the alto sax players had dropped out and that I could go back to my usual instrument.
