How I try to show up at work

As a hardcore introvert, I crank out my best work when I'm flying solo, whipping up copy like Gordon effin' Ramsay. But, even an introvert likes chilling with people and some of my favorite work environments are relaxed, independent but still collaborative Slack teams where I can brainstorm with my colleagues while still staying in the creative zone.

My areas for growth

Clearly communicates purpose and visionMotivated by making community/world impactMaintains effective work life balance

Handling that unicorn that is a work-life balance. I absolutely love my job (copywriting) and have a tendency to get a little too invested in my work, which can sometimes lead to burnout. The good news is, I'm tackling that by taking intentional breaks from the screen and plying myself with endless cups of comforting hot chocolate. Mmmm...

How I stand out

Stays composed throughout conflict or difficult situationsInvests and is interested in personal and professional growthMaintains clear long term vision that drives decision makingStays true to own values with integrityWilling to openly have difficult conversations

I'd say my greatest strength is my ability to compartmentalize my emotions in order to make relevant decisions. This doesn't mean I'm devoid of empathy or unwilling to express my feelings- just that I'm levelheaded enough to not take things personally if something goes a little pear shaped.
