I worry that my teammates might perceive me as…

Critical in a negative way. I tend to be direct but always positive!

Germans tend to be very direct, and years working with these lovely professionals may have contributed to the fact that I'm communicating similarly 😅. This can be perceived negatively if you're unaware, but it's never meant to be negative. Examples: I'll sometimes point out what doesn't work and what could be improved straight away without considering how to phrase it.

Things I'd love to learn

I'm always curious to learn more about various cultures and people. :)

It is both fascinating and necessary, especially if you want to understand how people from other cultures think and make the connection with them much stronger.

How I stand out

Mentors and develops teammates for their growthCollaborates effectively with teammatesCreates warm, caring relationships with teammatesStays true to own values with integrityMaintains effective work life balance

Whenever I talk with a teammate, I truly care about their well-being and am extremely empathetic. I'm all in for transparency and openness and am always willing to help. Over the last few years, I have had a chance to collaborate with people from different cultures, literally from all continents except Antarctica - I couldn't talk to penguins yet :( This experience taught me one important lesson - all is but a matter of perspective. Some words and phrases have different meanings to different people; no matter how clear I think I am, I always keep the lesson in mind and ensure everyone is on the same page.

My Achilles Heel is…

I sometimes tend to ask many questions at once 🙈

Be a reminder that one question at a time is the way to go.
