Outside of work, you'll find me...

Making arts and crafts when the light is really good.

My favorite movie

Harold and Maude

Macabre, thought provoking.

Something that drives me crazy 😵‍💫 🤬

People who refute everything or start from a stance of "no."

This type of thinking isn't fundamentally "creative."

Best way to get me excited about something

Turn it into a riddle.

Personality type

I derive my sense of self-worth from within. I love spending time with humans, and I use up my energy doing it.

I really admire teammates who… cover image

I really admire teammates who are…

100% committed to doing what they said they would do.

Even if you can't do a lot, I really appreciate upfront-ness about it and follow-through.

I'm energized at work by…

getting sh*t done.solving problemshelping others succeed

I just love the idea of being on the championship-winning Golden State Warriors version of a work team. Like.... what if we were all world class, empowered, engaged, and functioning at our peak? Imagine the possibilities.

I like to get feedback when its given…

with kindnesswith examples

A fun fact about me is…

I once got my hair cut by Frederic Fekkai.

I tried to tip him afterwards in the elevator, but he refused the cash.

How I try to show up at work

EncouragingCreativeObservantReliableCuriousThoughtfulIndependentHard WorkingImaginativeHumble

I like being in the background. Maybe it's because I spent a lot of years in "chief of staff" roles. It might also be because I enjoy mastering the details and finding all the blind corners. I like being prepared and eliminating unnecessary surprises. I like empowering people who are in the limelight, leader role, or otherwise on the hot seat to do their leading in the best way possible. They have less time to do the deep thinking, so I do it for them, then hand over the result to hopefully empower them to lead.

My areas for growth

Stays composed throughout conflict or difficult situationsManages feelings of self and others during conflictWilling to openly have difficult conversations

I have trouble staying super level and calm when I think someone else is doing the wrong thing or is deeply flawed in some way, whether in their thinking or in their overall being. I want to get better at heading that off.

How I stand out

Mentors and develops teammates for their growthFosters high performance teamworkCollaborates effectively with teammatesStays true to own values with integrityBalances internal resources effectively

I have a mental image in my mind of high-performing teams, and I see everyone clicking not just "together" but also within themselves. It all started when I wanted to go on a two-week honeymoon, and I knew I had to train up my underling so he could do my job for me while I was gone. From that day forward, I knew developing others = freedom, and it made our team better overall in the end too!

Motivations cover image

Things that deeply motivate me…

Getting things done ✅

Deep down, I am addicted to feeling productive. I like feeling as though real problems are getting solved, real questions are being answered, and the full fuzzy picture of something is becoming more clear for all involved.

How to make my day cover image

You will make my freakin day if you…

share a problem

I also love being hyper efficient and responsive. I can answer bite-sized questions all hours of the day and night, and I can do long 1:1 meetings to get into deeper things.
