How I try to show up at work

I love a collaborative, playful working environment where everybody pitches in and good ideas are not just heard but also applied; where employees are considered partners in the company instead of soldiers being told what to do. I hate a micro-managing work environment. I would like my co-workers and my higher-ups to trust in my skills and experience and be empowered to make my own decisions and learn from my own mistakes.

My areas for growth

Stays composed throughout conflict or difficult situationsManages feelings of self and others during conflictMentors and develops teammates for their growth

To have an intentional approach to life, in general, which includes my work life, and let go of what I no longer need, in order to be more efficient in anything I choose to achieve, both at work and at home. I’d like to grow as a good storyteller. This means getting better at observing the little nuances of everyday life and listening more and knowing when’s the right moment to speak with the intent to understand.

How I stand out

Maintains clear long term vision that drives decision makingMotivated by making community/world impactWilling to openly have difficult conversationsStays true to own values with integrityInvests and is interested in personal and professional growth

I realize that my superpower is strategically playing the underdog in most of my conversations and dealings with people at work so I can use information I get to my advantage.
