How I relax

Nothing beats a good project. Or a day of watching football.

A good beer or 4 goes along great with both of these.

My core values

AchievementAuthenticityAdventureFunChallengeHonestyHumorLearningMeaningful WorkOpennessRespectSuccess

Work hard but have fun doing it. That encompasses all of these.

You will make my freakin day if you…

private praise / thank you!a dank MEMEshare a problem

memes are always appreciated

I learn best by…

doing itblocking time to do itpairing with a teammate

Try and answer your own questions. There no better way to learn than trying something out. What's the worst that could happen?

When I'm stressed, you might notice me…

be short, blunt, and seem cold towards you. It is definitely not you.

a good dad joke always lightens the mood

Most fulfilling project I've worked on

I designed and 3D printed an adapter mount for a video doorbell.

I was able to solve a problem that I could not find a ready made solution for using engineering skills. It turned out great and will last longer than anything I could have bought in store.

Me when sh*t hits the fan

A fun fact about me is…

I was in a hot dog race at a Kansas City Royals game

I won

My happy place

This is just my 3D printer but in the background is my workbench. This is my happy place because I get to tinker and learn new things while having fun and making cool stuff. It brings me joy.

I'm energized at work by…

getting sh*t done.building stuffsolving problems

Getting things done is a great feeling

Things that deeply motivate me…

Getting things done ✅Learning as much as I can 🤓Having unique experiences ✨Making my parents proud 🥺Working with people I love 🥰

This motivates me because these are what provide the most authentic and impactful satisfaction. When you are able to tackle new challenges with people you love, you learn a lot and make your parents proud. There is no better feeling than achievement.

My Achilles Heel is…

I can latch on to an idea and take it too far before ensuring it works

Question my decisions and provide feedback.

I worry that my teammates might perceive me as…

Intimidating, harsh, uninterested

I tend to keep my emotions close to my chest and need to build trust with people before I really open up.

Things I'd love to learn

3D modeling to improve my 3D printing, RC cars (DIY), computer networking

To venture into new hobbies and expand current ones

How I stand out

Collaborates effectively with teammatesMentors and develops teammates for their growthPrioritizes common good over self-interestStays true to own values with integrityWilling to openly have difficult conversations

These are my superpowers because they not only make me a better professional, but also help those that I work with deliver the best solutions that they can.

My areas for growth

Intentional and strategic project planningMakes decisions promptly, even with uncertaintyBalances internal resources effectively

Improving upon these items would help me work through the tough challenges that come with software engineering and enable me to deliver at a high quality and work more efficiently.
