I started my career in the nonprofit sector and have remained there ever since. One of my first jobs was building a marketing department at a company that had never had one before, and I gained a lot of firsthand experience in a broad arena. From copywriting to editing to data and metrics to design, I did it all. Now I'm working in higher education, but a lot of the hierarchical systems stifle my ability to be creative. I love marketing, but I'm having a hard time finding where I fit in.
