How I try to show up at work


I do best in teams that embrace diversity, cross-functional and multi-disciplined experts or specialists who thrive on change and who make complex change happen in organisations.

I become too friendly with peers and subordinates and can either delay difficult discussions because of a fear of upsetting people or the opposite finding myself unable to stay composed and flying off at the hip potentially compromising myself by saying something harsh and unnecessary. Pausing before speaking and delaying responses for a day is often the better course of action.

I think I have an inherent skill that allows me to quickly assimilate into an organisation finding opportunities for improvement. This has helped me create all but two of the job opportunities that I have been fortunate to hold.
