I'm an information gatherer, not a decision maker. I can empower the person who can make a decision with the best possible information that is vetted from multiple sources - but there is always an anxiety around hurting others or a non-optimal outcome by making the wrong decision. Being able to make the decisions with some degree of uncertainty would allow for quicker action and reduced anxiety. My internal peacekeeping tendencies have a habit of avoiding hard conversations, and although I do tend to focus on criticism that improves the final product, I tend to avoid overly negative conversations that can hurt someone's feelings or make them feel they've failed. However, the lack of "tough love" may result in people not changing their habits as quickly, as they don't understand the extent of changes required.

I keep things running smoothly and tend to have a focus on keeping everyone happy and avoiding excessive stress. I maintain a cool head here (mainly due to lack of children here), and can ensure that we approach problems methodically. Sometimes it takes a bit longer than someone more decisive, but the end-goal tends to work for everyone and they feel heard / supported.
