Teammates hope to see Allen grow in…
Teammates say Allen stands out…
How I try to show up at work
I love my teammates and wish that I could find a way to mentor them more effectively and also help guide them in their work with more specificity. I feel as though I often leave them hanging or in a way that has them learning too much independently and without a lot of guidance or instruction. I strongly believe that I am trusted, but I need to involve myself more in their personal and professional development so they know that I also trust them with the business more than I might display currently.
Full storyMy areas for growth
I need to be better at helping my team, growing my team and providing more consistent and timely feedback. I need to assign more work and not take everything on myself and thus stifle their opportunities for growth. I need to only commit to things that I can actually deliver and not extend myself in areas that I know that there's a chance I will come up short. Setting my personal and family-focused goals with specific intention has already helped me (tremendously) maintain the work-life balance that I am seeking.
Full storyHow I stand out
I have very little fear when it comes to having conversations that others find tough. I don't welcome them, but I am a 100% believer that you cannot let things fester or sit - when you need to have a discussion and clear the air, get it done. I always try to create warm and lifelong bonds with people and always try to find ways to add value. It is my goal to have a memorable impact on people wit no expectations from them.
