Deep work in the morning really sets the tone for the day for me. If I'm on a roll in the morning, I'd prefer to continue if time allows for it, but the afternoon iss much, much more flexible. Long morning meetings can disrupt my morning plans and make it difficult to get into deep work later in the day.

Having a safe little nest where I work with people I love, I can be comfortable with the discomfort that comes from continuously learning new things. A supportive environment enables the messiness of the creative process, leading to getting things done without the friction and constraints of a measured process, hopefully resulting in making money sooner in order to help others and make the world a better place. Having a deep understanding of my need to learn, need to make the world a better place, having a safe little nest to be a little messy creatively (at least metaphorically, by giving me a little space to work through my thoughts) is a requirement in order to maintain a healthy balance and level of productivity.
