The best environment for me is:

space for deep work in the PM< 2 meetings zero meetings

I often get pulled out of my tasks throughout the day and have a very hard time trying to loop back to them after starting something else, or going to a meeting. So, I typically work after hours to give myself the time and uninterrupted space to work.

My areas for growth

Mentors and develops teammates for their growthMaintains effective work life balanceMaintains clear long term vision that drives decision makingClearly communicates purpose and visionIntentional and strategic project planning

As a new and growing manager, I would really like to start improving my core skills in leadership, mentorship, project management, and clear communication. Ive grown into management roles previously, and I often find that internally promoted managers receive very little training or coaching on how to manage a team or individuals. As we are seen to be fine since we excelled at our previous staff roles. Yet, these skills do not transfer into what is required to build and grow a team.

Motivations cover image

Things that deeply motivate me…

Helping others ❤️Getting things done ✅Being my most authentic self 🎨Learning as much as I can 🤓Having a good time 🕺Working with people I love 🥰

I like feeling as though I am accomplishing something or helping others with my time.

When I'm stressed, you might notice me…

Ghosting messages for a while, changing my status and taking a break.

When I am stressed its often due to being overwhelmed with tasks. To help, reach out and see if there is something you could do, or lend a hand with. Understanding that I need to take the time to not reply, and gather my thoughts.

I learn best by…

doing itpairing with a teammate

I learn best by trying myself and exploring. Running into a wall, and learning how to get around it myself is very satisfying, and that process is then stuck.

Outside of work, you'll find me...

How I relax cover image

How I relax

I like to watch tik tok, listen to music, and go for a walk in the forest.

Usually I am terrible at finding time to relax, and often associate work at home with relaxing (such as cleaning or tidying up). Though I have recently realized that to truly relax, you need to shut off for a bit.

I work best as a…

Some mix of execution and strategy. I love doing tasks and the high-level strategy conversations.

I'm energized at work by…

getting sh*t done.building stuffsolving problems

I just like doing things. When I have a task, and I can complete it or iterate on it and see the progress. That is always a motivator for me.

I like to get feedback when its given…

in the momentidc just tell mewith kindnesswith context

My philosophy is "if you dont say anything to the person, you cant complain about the problem". I always try to ask for how I can improve, where I can be a better manager, or how I might approach something differently. When provided with feedback, I always take it to heart and try to correct my actions as soon as possible (if it makes sense to).

How I try to show up at work

EncouragingFairCreativeResourcefulCurious

I always like to approach as many scenarios with an open unbiased mind, often trying to look at it from the other point of view, or ready to provide my insight or thoughts if asked for.

How I stand out

Collaborates effectively with teammatesCreates warm, caring relationships with teammatesPrioritizes common good over self-interestStays composed throughout conflict or difficult situationsBalances internal resources effectively
