My areas for growth
I love trying out new things and what is better than being able to share this with others? For that you need to be sometimes ready to get into difficult conversations and productively stick with those until (hopefully) resolution. And it does help that you can clearly Communicate your intentions, and the meaning of what you are trying to achieve together. So - all of that - brings me to above 4 things that I try to get better at consistently - and I would love for you to help me out with your feedback!

Imagine the world shutting down, and your team of developers for internal tools being laid off due to the global pandemic. The show must go on - only without the tool you intended to use. You have 3 months, to recover your thoughts, find and align on a new direction, find a new tool, implement it and launch it to the whole company because they need to do their performance reviews. Yep. It really happened. To me. I was happy to have other amazing people around me and relayed heavily on my brain and my emotions supporting me through all the ups and downs in those three months. Result: Really well-accepted tool, that mirrors the org's desired process, with less manual work and a smaller bill to pay. Talking about finding luck in unlucky situations... 🤓

I believe I am quick in switching from a bird's eye view, to really digging into the details, coming up with the plans and already estimating how they can be executed and what will be possible roadblocks. I guess my inner overthinker and questioner working overtime are very helpful in this manner;)

Things that deeply motivate me…
I have always been curious and loved to learn, which is why even to this day love reading books and understanding others and their perspective. At work, the same as in my private life, I like to ask questions, explore the beautiful world and figure out challenges on the way. If all of that results in making the world a better place - what better way of working and living is there? ✨
